This black bird is from a photo of an Native American Kachina doll you can buy for yourself here made by Joseph Cruz.
Google/Bing the words "mug shots" I promise you'll be there for some time. It's a lesson in raw humanity. I try to remember it could be me: things happen, wires cross, nerves snap. Sometimes a picture is worth more than a 1000 words.
This is the face of a guy who was arrested, and his mug shot is now freely available online. Try not to get beaten up and arrested hey.
These daisies are real mutations caused by the nuclear disaster at Fukushima, animals and humans are also affected in strange and sad ways at a cellular level causing similar mutations.
When I read about radioactive wild boars taking over a small town near Fukushima I thought of Studio Ghibli's Princess Monoke.. these are Ghibli boars, because we were warned.

This is for an irish friend of mine on St Patrick's day (Patrick being a man who singlehandedly converted Ireland to Christianity through his heartfelt and clear communication skills). So I thought about his likes, which as far as I can tell are slightly metal, really cute and definitely a bit magic, so I googled a pixie dragon (I had a dream recently about a pixie dragon in wales, was crossing a field, and over it swooped flying low with a long nose, quite green and real!) anyway pixie dragons weren't it so I happened upon a rare baby purple dragon - presented as real, a recently discovered species... however I looked a bit longer and of course being gullible I realised, it was actually a picture created on photoshop which won some awards or what not. Perfect. This is from a still I took from The Professionals, a programme I drew and watched a while back. Its all retro London, politically incorrect and gritty.
This is my graffiti version of William Joseph McCloskey's still life, Tangerines in Tissues with Grapes. I think more still life should be painted in our towns and cities, everyone is rushing all the time and missing things.
This is because I'm reading about life at sea, and those old boats moved reeeaallly slowly, so a sea chase would be a really exciting but excruciatingly slow motion experience. The thought amused me. Yes that is a cat, its Merlin, lying under the sea; my duvet looks like the sea sometimes. Its that.
